Dr. Golombek's research involved modeling the atmospheric lifetime and transport of various greenhouse and ozone depleting gases, and the optimal estimation of trace gas emissions using inverse methods including Kalman filtering. He was a long-term participant of the Advanced Global Atmospheric Gases Experiment (AGAGE).
